At workplace, we work in group to achieve a goal. Despite any personal conflicts with team members we have to show individual skills and provide constructive and positive ideas for achieving common target of the group.
Being part of the team we have to work with both like and unlike minded colleagues. We feel seldom happy, enthusiastic exciting and parallelly we feel exhausted, stressed, tensed, anger, depressions. With all the stress and depression how can an individual participate in a team task? His/her depression can also affect working of other colleagues too.
Every individual needs to be unaffected by emotional and mental stress at the workplace to give a contribution to the growth of the company as well as own self.
The strains of modern daily living, busy hectic lifestyles and the pressure of juggling a demanding job, family and social life are unavoidable. These stress, frustration, irritation, anger, jealousy, the competition now become a part of our lives. In this situation staying positive and calm seems very tough.
Having a hobby is a great way to spend our spare time and unwind from our daily routine. Hobbies are a perfect way to distract ourselves after a busy day. In the rush of life, our hobbies play very important role. It provides us with opportunities to have some 'me' time. Spending time on an activity that we enjoy can improve our mental health and well-being. Research shows that people with hobbies are less likely to suffer from stress, low mood and depressions. Rather than passing the time, a hobby we love helps us feel happier more relaxed and better equipped to handle life's many stressors. Hobbies come in all shapes and sizes they can be creative, academic, physical or just plain relaxing example: Sports and exercise, meditation, music, painting, reading, journaling, gardening etc.
If we are looking for a new hobby, we should try something interactive like joining a band, art institution, team sport. Sharing experience our through hobbies enhance our enjoyment of the activity and help us feel less isolated. We all have only 24 hours in a day and night. Having hobbies forcibly attract us towards it. It makes our mind happy, satisfactory, confident and helps in increasing concentration that is directly proportional to our work performance at any organization.
Real-life balance is achieved by properly managing our priorities. There is no set formula to make the magic happen, we just have to plan, prepare and trust what we do. Health is wealth. Health should be the priority.
